October is a very historical and eventful month across the globe. The foundation of Pocketful of Kids last October 28, 2008 is not just a coincidence but a timely one. Many celebrations are witnessed and what is interesting is the Children's Book Week of England on the first week, International World Teacher's Day on the 5th and during this month, Disability Awareness is celebrated. The mentioned events are just a part of the vision and mission of Pocketful of Kids, to become the sought-after institution in the holistic approach in child growth and development, child care and services while having fun and learning at the same time through its research-based educational toys.
It all started in a child's growing years between 1960s and 1970s, when a relatively young girl of 11 dreamed of an orphanage and a shop full of toys, where children can enjoy the fun of playing and exploring with their parents while learning. Inspired by her father's love for literary and classic books, she was introduced in the world of the children's classics, exploring a child's heart and imagination, freely expressing them and nurturing them. Eventually, she started collecting toys and books across the globe. Her kind and generous heart and passion for kids, earned her a name, "Sta. Claus Jr.", for her sharing of toys and other playthings.
Opening Pocketful of Kids is just the beginning, for the founder and owner, Ms. Natalie Limsin-Tanchip. Not only, you will enjoy the shop with its exclusive educational and safe toys from US, Europe and Asia, you can also try and play before owning it, and you can also choose from the different art classes (that includes renowned directors, singers, and actors in Asia and well-experienced teachers) they offer to develop your child's talent. They also offer fun and educational workshops for the kids, parents, and guardians. Now, they also offer therapy classes for special and gifted children. Your will surely have fun and worthwhile visit with your child at pocketful of kids. As this is just the beginning for Ms. Tanchip, she still hopes and dream of opening a Disability School for children with disability. In Pocketful of Kids, surely, "Your Child, Our Care... building bridges of fun and learning."
